Nearly Christmas...

So it's nearly christmas and almost the end of the first semester at uni, got so many ideas for filming over the christmas holidays :D, look out for videos coming out basically every week from now on. It's amazing the progression that i've seen in my own work and technical knowledge in the last few months and looking back at past work. Will very interesting looking back at the end of the year and the course to see my development as a film-maker. Exciting times :)

It is now December so i think i am aloud to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas with out getting pelted with electronic abuse lol.

Probably one of the most powerful short films ever...

This video caught my eye a week or so back. It won Vimeo's Best Video, Best Documentary and Community Choice. It is bascially a story of a man and his dog, but is such a powerful piece of media. Quite moving, definatly worth watching, but make sure you have a tissue as it will probably bring a tear to your eye including me.

This is a short test with a Rode microphone on top of the Canon 7D to see what the quality of the audio is like, it seems pretty good for an auto function mic. For lighting i've just used a compact Pag light with battery and some basic ceiling lighting. Shot with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens.
